During this initiative we hosted several groups of students, accompanying them in the discovery of our work and the value we give to quality, attention to details and responsible production on a daily basis.
It has been to us an important moment of confrontation, during which we had the possibility to explain what creating knitwear garments with know-how, passion and respect for the product means, transmitting to young people the importance of the choices that stand behind every production process
Among the most meaningful gratifications of this experience it’s the statement of the young winners with the project “LET’S MEND THE PLANET”, who said they’ve been impressed by the care and attention they observed during their visit to our knitwear factory.
They won the first prize for their original message and the powerful visual metaphor: through the image of sustainability thread and needle, we can mend the Earth and have a chance for a future of rebirth and hope.
Knowing that our daily commitment has been perceived and appreciated by new generations makes us extremely proud and validates the importance of a meeting between schools and the world of business.
The project closing night, that has taken place in the Banca Prealpi SanBiagio Auditorium in Tarzo, celebrated the students’ path through moments of dialogue, deepening and the award ceremony.
The delivery of the prize by our knitwear factory has been particularly meaningful, at an event with important national and international guests, committed in environmental sustainability.
What will stay with us of this experience is mostly young people’s enthusiasm and their capability of consciously deal with complex subjects, which are crucial for our planet’s future.
We thank the Pro Loco Prealpi Consortium and the project coordinators, Ketty Gallon, Silvia Gasparetto and Angela Gatti, for having involved us in an initiative with such an educative and social value.
As a factory, we believe sustainability is not only a production choice, but also a cultural path to build with new generations. That’s the reason why we are glad of having given our contribution to a project that, in a simple and effective manner, reminds us that every action counts.
The collaboration between Maglificio Giordano’s and the international designer Martino Gamper represents a dialogue between Italian manufacturing, creative experimentation and textile research. The project, developed as part of Architectural Digest Italia’s “AD Fatto a Mano”, was born with the aim of exploring new expressive possibilities through knitwear, transforming an everyday accessory into a contemporary design object.
Maglificio Giordano’s has been included among the companies taking part in the project “Journey in the Factories of Beauty”, an initiative promoted by the Literary Prize Giovanni Comisso, that explores some of the most significant experiences in the Italian manufacturing industry.
