Founded in 1948 by Eleonora Lavina, Maglificio Giordano’s combines the craftsmanship of Made in Italy excellence with a constantly evolving design approach.
Our Roots
It was 1948 when Eleonora Lavina, not yet in her twenties, chose to face the post-war period with a manual knitting machine and a precise vision.
From that simple and radical gesture, a family business took shape built on courage, dedication and a culture of “beautiful and well made”.
Since then, that story has continued to evolve over time, without ever losing its origin.
A TERRITORY THAT TAUGHT US THE CRAFT
In Cappella Maggiore, near Vittorio Veneto, we sink our roots into a territory of ancient knowledge. Between the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, this area was a national centre of excellence for silkworm breeding, now a cultural heritage.
Our way of doing things is born from this tradition of manual skills, weaves and shared knowledge: knitting as a memory that renews itself over time. Maglificio Giordano’s recognizes in its territory a precious human and cultural capital, which leaves marks in time, things and landscape. And that lives in the relationships we build, every day.
The method
We have a design approach: each project is born from an idea, a stylistic input or a customer need.
Starting from the yarn, we develop stitches and structures to define the texture, the technical basis on which the style is built. The graphic sign translates into a textile structure through a process of research and prototyping.
For us, interpreting comes before producing: a process that requires time, experience and continuous dialogue.

OF THE PROJECT
Studying a project means getting into it. Every stitch is studied, modulated, adapted according to the aesthetic and material result. It needs skills, experience and time to shape what makes a garment truly unique.
Research is continuous, guided by listening to the material and the evolution of technical solutions.
